Great school & excellent teacher no matter what your skill level is. My wife & I were immediately impressed with Sensei Steve Baca and the welcoming (ego free) environment. We're on our 4th year & loving it!

I’ve been training at NoHo MMA for over 10 years, and there’s no better martial arts teacher than Professor Steve Baca. His dedication to his craft and his students is unparalleled.

Used to go there for a while. Miss it incredibly. As in, I have dreams about going back!
Great no nonsense vibe. Never felt judged or inadequate. Professor Steve makes it so you feel like you belong there. Always felt safe, respected, supported, but challenged and encouraged to improve.

Are you ready to rumble? (You know you heard it in the voice) all joking aside, I checked out 2 other local places to do Krav and bjj. This was the most welcoming for someone who has never done BJJ. Professor Steve is knowledgeable, patient and really breaks down the moves. Whether you are looking to compete or just defend yourself. This is THE place. The higher level students are also great with helping you to learn. I do krav and basic beginners Bjj and I have learned so much. I'm going to start adding the kick boxing class as well. We welcome all new students not like some places where it feels very cliquey, is that even a word? It's all about the training!.

One of the best places ever. Professor Steve goes above and beyond to take care of his students. This gym has become a home away from home and everyone is so nice and welcoming to newbies

The best gym I've trained at. The coaches are knowledgeable and super encouraging and take the time to help you build on your strengths. The environment is incredibly comfortable for people who might be hesitant about trying out combat sports for the first time.
